Incident Report: Home Burglary

Unfortunately, we have received a report of another burglary in our neighborhood.

Last night (Friday, November 26th), a homeowner reported a break-in at their home located at the 3500 block of Castleman Ln. The homeowner called the Castleman guard at 10:55PM to report a broken window at the residence and the resident was advised to call police immediately. The Allied vehicle patrol was dispatched immediately and police arrived at the residence at 11:10PM.

The homeowner stated that a backyard-facing downstairs window had been broken into. The master bedroom had also been entered and rummaged through with valuables taken.

Fortunately, the homeowner was not home at the time of break-in. The homeowner was in the process of having an alarm and security cameras installed but they were not installed at the time of the break-in.

Our hearts go out to the homeowner and we are so sorry to hear that this happened to them.

If you have any security footage or helpful tips about the break-in, please contact our community manager, Trey Standback, at Seabreeze: trey.standback@seabreezemgmt.com.

We will provide more details as we receive them.

A reminder to all homeowners, if you see or suspect a suspicious person/vehicle or witness a crime being committed, call Burbank Police immediately at (818) 238-3000.

If you see something, say something. Neighbors watching out for each other is the most effective means available for keeping crime out of our community.

Be alert to unusual or suspicious behavior in our neighborhood and call the Burbank Police Department. Write down descriptions of suspicious person(s) and license numbers.

  • Get a home alarm and/or security cameras! These act as a good deterrent and can expedite response times from police.

  • At night, lock your doors and leave outdoor lights on for added visibility.

  • Tell a trusted neighbor if your house will be unoccupied for an extended period. Tell them how to reach you in an emergency.

  • Look after your neighbor’s homes when they are away and ask them to look after yours. This includes picking up mail, newspapers and storing trashcans or recycling bins. Don’t send a message that says, "No One Is Home."

  • Above all, stay involved. It is the most effective way to reduce or prevent crime and make your neighborhood safe.

Remember your job is to report crime. The responsibility for apprehending criminals belongs to the police.
